Palantir Moves Headquarters to Miami

Another tech giant is making waves in Miami.

Palantir, a leader in artificial intelligence, recently announced its relocation from Denver, Colorado, to Miami, Florida. The announcement was made in a brief post on Tuesday.

The company now has its offices at 19505 Biscayne Boulevard, Suite 2350, in Aventura, which is a wealthy area about 32 miles north of downtown Miami.

This marks the second major transition for Palantir in just six years, following its move from Palo Alto to Denver in 2020. CEO Alex Karp has previously mentioned a clash between the ethical standards of Silicon Valley and the goals of his company.

Not long after, the tech industry is watching closely as Amazon plans to cut 16,000 jobs and reduce “bureaucracy” by investing in AI.

Palantir did not immediately respond to requests for comments.

Moreover, this headquarters shift aligns with a trend of capital moving to Florida. High-profile figures such as Peter Thiel and Jeff Bezos have also made the move, alongside others like Google’s Larry Page and Sergey Brin, and Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg. Many are leaving California due to the proposed wealth tax.

With a valuation exceeding $300 billion, Palantir has become the largest public company based in South Florida, surpassing NextEra Energy. The company reported a net income of $1.6 billion and sales of $4.5 billion in 2025, more than double that of the previous year. Projections for 2026 suggest revenue could be around $7.2 billion.

As of late 2025, Palantir had roughly 4,429 full-time employees globally, including around 600 in its Denver office. However, it hasn’t revealed how many roles might transition to Florida.

Colorado Governor Jared Polis mentioned in a press conference that he was caught off guard by the news of Palantir’s move, learning of it via social media.

Local leaders, as well as the Florida Council of 100, view this relocation as a defining moment for Florida as a hub of national security and AI innovation.

“Palantir’s relocation to Florida’s Gold Coast demonstrates the current trajectory of growth in America,” stated Michael Seamus, president and CEO of the Florida Council of 100.

Seamus also expressed that Florida is crafting a supportive environment for developing high-wage industries, highlighting the initiative “Ambition Accelerated,” which encourages future growth.

Earlier this month, this initiative was supported by prominent figures like Citadel’s Ken Griffin and Stephen Ross, aiming to market South Florida as an attractive spot for leadership and investment.

The campaign will target business executives through national advertisements, focusing on messages that directly compare South Florida to cities like New York, Chicago, and locations in California and the Northeast. The ads will pose thoughtful questions about expanding major markets and cost-saving opportunities for businesses.

Beyond the absence of a state income tax, Florida also boasts some of the lowest business regulations per capita in the U.S., alongside strong growth metrics in GDP and business formation.
