Trans shooter Robert Dorgan was an unusual person who wore dresses and heels while working at a shipyard.

Robert Dorgan, a transgender individual, worked as an electrician at a shipyard in Maine, where he surprised coworkers by appearing in a miniskirt and high heels, which many considered inappropriate attire.

At 56 years old and the father of six, Dorgan—now known as Roberta—was employed at General Dynamics Bath Iron Works in Bath. Recently, he was involved in a tragic incident where he killed his 23-year-old son, Aidan, and his ex-wife, Rhonda, during a high school hockey game in Rhode Island.

Dorgan had a reputation for being “eccentric.” Colleagues noted her short temper and her tendency to wear clothing deemed inappropriate for the workplace, often including short skirts and dresses, as reported by a local news source.

One coworker, Ryan Fisher, remarked on the unusual choice of footwear, questioning how someone could wear high heels in a shipyard environment.

Fisher also shared that Dorgan was brought on board as a wire puller due to his physical strength.

Another colleague, who chose to remain anonymous, mentioned that Dorgan had recently displayed photos of his ex-wife and children at work, suggesting a strong attachment to his family. This same employee remarked that Dorgan referred to her ex-boyfriend as “my princess” and never alluded to a divorce, expressing love for her family.

However, the employee noted Dorgan’s reputation for being “eccentric” and having an obsession with firearms.

A representative from General Dynamics Bath Iron Works confirmed Dorgan’s active employment with the company.

Latest Updates on the Shooting Incident

In a brief statement, a company spokesperson expressed condolences to the victims and those affected by the tragedy.

Dorgan, who had undergone gender reassignment surgery in 2020, fatally shot his ex-wife and eldest son, injuring other family members as they watched his other son play at an ice rink in Pawtucket on Monday afternoon.

Authorities are still trying to determine Dorgan’s precise motive, but it’s clear that there was a deep-seated grudge against his family.
