Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi shares her cervical cancer diagnosis

Nicole Polizzi’s Health Update

Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi recently shared that she has been diagnosed with stage 1 cervical cancer and is possibly facing a hysterectomy.

The “Jersey Shore” star appeared on TikTok on Friday to discuss her diagnosis of adenocarcinoma after getting the results from a recent cone biopsy, where abnormal tissue was removed from her cervix.

“Honestly, it wasn’t the news I expected, but it could have been worse since they caught it early. I really appreciate that,” she expressed. “2026 isn’t shaping up to be my year, but it could definitely be much worse.”

Polizzi, 38, urged her followers to prioritize their health by scheduling pap smears, as she had experienced unusual results for several years. “Look at where I am now. Instead of waiting and worrying about an uncomfortable appointment, you might discover something serious, but it’s just stage one and can be treated,” she advised.

She clarified that in her situation, the cancer cells had not penetrated into the cervix, allowing for the tumor’s removal through the cone biopsy.

Polizzi also mentioned her next step involves a PET scan to see if the cancer has progressed. “After that, my oncologist has presented options: either chemoradiotherapy or a hysterectomy. I think a hysterectomy seems like the better option,” she said, noting there’s a chance her ovaries could be spared during the surgery.

She remarked, “The infection can still spread within my body, so I’m trying to learn as it happens.”

She’s determined to “work through this” and reminded fellow women dealing with similar issues that they are not alone. “This is something many women face quietly, and it shouldn’t be that way,” Polizzi added.

Reflecting on her journey, she admitted feeling “sad and scared” about the potential hysterectomy, particularly as a mother of three children—Lorenzo, 13, Giovanna, 11, and Angelo, 6—with her husband, Gionni LaValle. “I’m done having kids, but the thought of surgery is daunting,” she said. “Still, I have to make choices that ensure I’m healthy and here for my children.”
