Giants Coach John Harbaugh Expands Staff in New Jersey
New York Giants’ head coach John Harbaugh, previously known in Baltimore for his extensive coaching staff, is continuing that trend in New Jersey. Since taking on the role, he has been actively recruiting to build a robust team.
On Friday, the Giants made announcements regarding six new staff members, beginning with Sam Rosengarten, who will serve as the high-performance director.
Alongside Rosengarten, five football analysts were also brought on board: Skylar Morhinweg, Taylor Kolste, Patrick Moynahan, Kyrel Michael, and Bonner Bordelon.
Rosengarten’s role is particularly notable due to his nine years of NFL experience, having held a similar position during Harbaugh’s tenure with the Ravens.
As the director of high performance, Rosengarten will be responsible for overseeing player monitoring systems, managing training loads, recovery protocols, and performance analysis.
Before joining the Ravens, he worked for the Buffalo Sabres, where he managed an injury prevention program and handled daily player care. He had also engaged in discussions with teams like the Knicks, the Thunder, and the English Lawn Tennis Association.
Skylar Morhinweg, another recent addition, has a notable background. The son of long-time NFL coach Marty Morhinweg, Skylar played quarterback for the Florida Gators between 2012 and 2014. He’s also held various coaching roles, including assistant QB coach at the University of Colorado and offensive coordinator/QB coach at Midwestern State University.
Interestingly, while Morhinweg didn’t have much playing time at Florida, he opted to transfer to Columbia for the 2015-16 season, where he hoped for more opportunities on the field.
