Kamal Harris Considers Second Presidential Run

Kamala Harris, the former vice president and presidential candidate, mentioned on Monday that she is contemplating a second bid for the presidency.

In a live video chat with Sharon McMahon, she responded to questions about her future political plans.

Harris had been relatively quiet since the last election but recently confirmed that she will not pursue the governorship of California.

During the conversation, McMahon posed a playful question: “Will you run again?” to which Harris replied, “I haven’t decided yet.”

When asked if she was still considering it, Harris simply said, “Maybe,” leaving room for interpretation.

McMahon, reflecting on their chat, noted, “When I wrapped up, I thought, ‘Oh, she might want this. She’s just mulling it over.'” While this wasn’t an explicit declaration, it certainly gave off that vibe.

Harris, in her earlier statements, mentioned she had been reflecting on the current state of the nation and how she could continue advocating for the American populace and the values she cherishes.

However, a report from Axios last December revealed concerns among party donors and leaders. They were worried that Harris might launch another unsuccessful campaign after her indications of possibly running again.

Additionally, she released a book titled “107 Days,” which chronicles her brief and ultimately unsuccessful presidential campaign against Donald Trump.

In the previous 2024 election, Harris ended up losing by about two million votes, resulting in Trump securing another term in office. Following that, numerous former staffers have suggested that Harris held onto hopes of Biden’s re-election for too long.

One former adviser, David Plouffe, said, “It’s all Biden’s fault. … He completely fooled us.”
