Pete Crow-Armstrong reiterates his remarks about Dodgers fans in his recent interview

Chicago Cubs outfielder Pete Crow-Armstrong recently sought to clarify his earlier statements about Los Angeles Dodgers fans, which were highlighted in an article. But, instead of soothing tensions, he seemed to escalate them.

The 23-year-old All-Star, who grew up in the vicinity of the Dodgers, reiterated his feelings about the fan base in a recent interview. He reminisced about “disgusting things” he witnessed at games during his childhood and recalled the violent incident involving Bryan Stowe in 2011. Crow-Armstrong emphasized that his remarks were aimed strictly at the fan demographic, not the players or the organization itself.

“As a kid, I went to Dodgers games when they weren’t exactly at their best,” he said. “Dodger fans go through phases. I still remember how a fight left Giants fans in a coma; that experience stayed with me. It seems like stuff like that just keeps happening there, unlike at other parks I’ve been to,” he explained.

The core of his original criticism was that Dodgers supporters lacked genuine enthusiasm and often showed up merely to take pictures rather than truly engage with the game. Now, however, the focus has shifted from issues of passion to concerns about violence—a significant change in tone.

In response, Dodgers fans quickly countered. They pointed to their impressive attendance records, numerous division titles, and vibrant playoff atmospheres. Some even threw shade at Cubs fans by reminding them of painful moments in their history, like the infamous Steve Bartman incident.

Each fanbase has its flaws, and every stadium carries its own shadows. But if you grow up near Dodger Stadium and continue to voice criticism about the crowd, you might want to brace yourself for some backlash.

Crow-Armstrong might find himself facing those fans again when the Cubs visit Chavez Ravine later this April.
