Kanye West’s Legal Troubles: A Handyman’s Story
Kanye West’s handyman skills are coming under fire in a recent legal case involving the rapper. Tony Saxon, who is pursuing over $1 million from West related to renovations on his lavish $57 million Malibu mansion, shared some amusing anecdotes during his testimony in a Los Angeles courtroom.
Saxon recounted a rather peculiar excursion to a hardware store with West back in September 2021, when she was attempting to remodel her own home. In the midst of a chaotic renovation, Saxon recalled West suggesting a trip, asking, “Would it go faster if we went to the hardware store and got some tools?”
According to Saxon, they traveled in Kim Kardashian’s Lamborghini, which was West’s car at the time. Shockingly, their hour-long visit to Home Depot yielded no tools—West was more interested in flower arrangements than actually purchasing anything they needed.
The outing wasn’t all for naught, as they stopped by a McDonald’s in Malibu for breakfast afterward. Saxon mentioned that she assisted West with his phone at the register, as he seemed to struggle with how it worked.
After they returned to the Malibu property, Saxon fell asleep but soon received a call from West alerting her that his Lamborghini had run out of gas.
Saxon shared that she had to help locate West using his phone’s GPS. Eventually, she found him stuck in a ditch along Pacific Coast Highway, with his head and face completely covered. To make matters worse, Saxon had to foot the bill for West’s gas.
In a somewhat odd gesture of gratitude, West reportedly “gave a bath” to a handyman at the Nobu Hotel the following day. Yet, Saxon also mentioned West insisted that all his workers dress in black after one of them wore a blue sweatshirt.
This legal dispute revolves around the chaotic renovation of West’s Malibu mansion, with Saxon alleging not just unpaid wages and unsafe working conditions, but also wrongful termination. He was reportedly hired to oversee security and maintenance during the construction process.
The renovations have significantly altered the structure, nearly erasing its original design. Both West and his current wife, Bianca Sensori, are anticipated to take the stand during the trial.
