Hillary Clinton Addresses Epstein Inquiry After Deposition

After her closed-door testimony with the House Oversight Committee, Hillary Clinton shared her perspective with reporters on February 26, 2026. She firmly stated that she had no knowledge of the crimes attributed to Jeffrey Epstein, the disgraced financier.

Clinton’s deposition lasted six hours and formed part of a wider congressional investigation aimed at uncovering what various public figures might have known regarding Epstein’s illicit activities and his network of associates.

Speaking outside the Chappaqua Performing Arts Center in New York, she emphasized her lack of a personal relationship with Epstein. Clinton also refuted claims about having flown on Epstein’s private jet, visiting his private island, or engaging in business at any of his residences or offices.

When asked about her past interactions with Ghislaine Maxwell, a long-time collaborator of Epstein’s, Clinton described their relationship as superficial and limited to casual acquaintance.

“I never met Epstein, never had connection or communication,” Clinton remarked. “I knew Maxwell casually as an acquaintance.”

After her statement, Clinton fielded several questions. A reporter inquired about her daughter’s wedding in 2010, where Maxwell was present despite being embroiled in a civil lawsuit at that time. Clinton clarified that Maxwell attended as a plus-one of another guest.

Clinton opted not to comment on photos from the Epstein files that allegedly show her husband, former President Bill Clinton, in various social situations tied to materials linked to Epstein.

She expressed her dissatisfaction with the private nature of the deposition, indicating a preference for it to be conducted publicly.

“I’m not going to do it again,” Clinton stated. “I wish they had done it in public. It was very repetitive. They asked the same questions over and over. Not very productive.”

Clinton’s remarks, along with the deposition, occur in the context of ongoing legal and political scrutiny related to Epstein’s connections. Investigators are still examining how deeply political, business, and media elites interacted with the convicted sex offender before his passing.

Additionally, her husband is expected to give his testimony the following day.
