Iran's major military locations attacked in synchronized US-Israeli operations

Coordinated Attacks on Iran by U.S. and Israel

A significant coordinated assault by the United States and Israel against Iran commenced before dawn on Saturday, targeting vital military and nuclear sites throughout the nation.

The focus of the strikes was on key Iranian assets. U.S. officials identified targets such as Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) command facilities, naval assets, and hidden sites thought to be part of Iran’s nuclear program.

Additionally, Iranian air defenses, missile and drone launch sites, and military airfields were among the locations affected, according to officials. The Israeli military confirmed that the strikes aimed at sites connected to Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei.

Later in the day, President Trump confirmed that Khamenei had been killed during the operation, also noting that more than 40 other Iranian security and regime officials lost their lives as well.

“One of the most evil figures in history, Ayatollah Khamenei, is dead,” Trump stated in a post on Truth Social. He framed this event as justice not just for Iranians but also for Americans and people worldwide who suffered under Khamenei’s rule.

Reports indicated that the Revolutionary Guards were allegedly seeking to establish immunity from U.S. actions, further complicating the landscape.

Details revealed that the leaders were gathered at a compound in Tehran during the strikes, which were carried out with careful timing, designed to take advantage of “targets of opportunity.” A source indicated that a strategic decision had been made to push the airstrikes forward, maintaining an element of surprise.

Trump described the strikes, which he referred to as “Operation Epic Fury”, as a comprehensive combat effort with multiple geographic targets aimed at overwhelming Iran’s defense capabilities. He called upon Iranians to rise up against their government.

U.S. officials noted that Tomahawk cruise missiles were employed in the pre-emptive strikes, along with an unidirectional strike drone that had not been used before in previous operations.

The airstrikes are expected to continue for several days, marking a significant military escalation in the region.
