Tiffany Henyard is seeking a position in Georgia as a Republican.

The former Democratic mayor of a Chicago suburb, who has had a rather tumultuous political journey, is now running as a Republican for a seat in Georgia. Tiffany Henyard, once boastfully calling herself a “super mayor,” is the only Republican contender for the 5th District seat on the Fulton County Commission, as per the election records.

She’s up against four Democratic challengers.

Henyard’s political past is quite controversial. She garnered national attention in 2024 when FBI officials issued subpoenas to her administration amidst corruption allegations.

Interestingly, she was never charged with any crime.

During her term as mayor of Dalton, Illinois, she faced significant backlash due to claims of corruption and mismanagement of village funds. A financial review indicated that the village’s bank account plummeted from an original balance of $5.6 million to a shocking $3.6 million deficit.

Under her leadership, the village neglected to submit and audit its annual financial reports to the state auditor’s office. Amidst the accusations, residents claimed she used village resources for personal expenses, like hiring hair and makeup teams and indulging in luxury trips to Las Vegas, costing taxpayers thousands.

After she lost her re-election, she was ordered to pay $10,000 due to a lawsuit from her landlord over unpaid rent for the home where she lived during her mayoralty. Furthermore, in 2025, she faced court for failing to provide public records while serving in office.

Critics have labeled Henyard “America’s worst mayor,” especially after allegations erupted regarding a sexual assault by one of her associates during a Las Vegas trip, with claims that the alleged victim lost her job for reporting the incident.

Additionally, Henyard held the position of supervisor for Thornton Township, which is in Cook County, Illinois but lost a re-election bid to State Senator Napoleon Harris.

In January 2025, she was involved in a chaotic altercation during a Thornton Township Board meeting, stemming from a confrontation between her boyfriend and an activist.

Fox News Digital has sought a comment from Henyard.
