Bigfoot Sightings on the Rise in Ohio
It seems to be Bigfoot season in Ohio, with a flurry of reported sightings of this elusive creature, often described as reaching heights of up to 10 feet. Residents are on edge, especially in some of the dimmest areas of the state.
Some locals even speculate that entire families of Sasquatch may be traversing through the region.
Since Friday, at least seven encounters have been documented across Northeast Ohio, particularly between Akron and Youngstown in Portage County, as reported by Mind at the Bigfoot Association.
One of the more recent incidents occurred in Streetsboro on Monday night. Eyewitnesses said they hadn’t seen anything unusual prior to this event.
Jeremiah Byron from the Bigfoot Association shared, “While passing through the Tinker’s Creek area, a 6.5-foot tall, lean brown Bigfoot stepped into their lane and moved against traffic.” He added, “One witness even mentioned that the daughter might’ve reached out and touched the Bigfoot.”
Byron further noted, “She was so freaked out, she couldn’t even look back. She’s not really into Bigfoot.”
Interestingly, despite the countless high-resolution cameras on smartphones, eyewitnesses have failed to capture any photos of the creature.
Local authorities were not alerted about the sightings, according to a report from the Canton Repository. One person humorously remarked, “Who would guess that there are no cell phone cameras in Northeast Ohio?”
Sightings seem to be moving eastward, prompting the Bigfoot Association to suggest a “green highway” theory, proposing that a family or group of cryptids might be traveling through the area.
The researchers noted, “Based on these coordinates, it appears subjects may be using the Headwaters Trail greenbelt as a key travel path. The variations in height and color point to the possibility that we’re observing more than one individual, perhaps a family migrating east.”
The first sighting was reported on Friday, where someone claimed to see a 9-foot creature in broad daylight, subsequently fleeing. The following night, around 11 p.m., an 8-foot creature was supposedly heard groaning in a wooded area, with its footprints later discovered.
In the days leading up to Tuesday morning, four additional sightings were reported, including one where a witness described their German shepherd shaking with fear after spotting the alleged beast in their backyard.
Yet, there are those who believe that, even if these creatures do exist, their time in the area might be limited due to Northeast Ohio’s negative reputation. One local quipped, “That boy won’t survive past Youngstown.”
