AEW Revolution: MJF vs. Adam Page

Maxwell Jacob Friedman, known as MJF, and “Hangman” Adam Page faced off in a brutal Texas Death Match for the AEW World Championship at Revolution. Both wrestlers left the ring bloodied, utilizing every possible weapon to inflict pain on one another. MJF shocked the audience by using a syringe to push glass into Page’s jaw, while Page retaliated with a barbed wire-wrapped chair and a Deadeye move through a table. In a dramatic comeback, MJF executed a Tombstone Piledriver through the table.

After cleaning the blood from their faces, they met in the ring, trading punches. Both avoided being counted out and grabbed light tubes from beneath the ring. MJF tried to retreat up the ramp, but Page struck first, smashing the tube over MJF’s head, causing more bleeding.

Page escalated the violence by driving a skewer into MJF’s head and attempted a buckshot lariat. Despite this, MJF wouldn’t go down easily. Page introduced a double dog collar chain, wrapping it around MJF’s neck. But to win the match, both men had to endure immense punishment.

In a shocking move, they leaped off the stage and crashed through a table, both seemingly knocked out. Yet, they stood just before the referee’s count reached ten. Page brought MJF back into the ring, attempted another Buckshot Lariat but received a kick to the groin instead. MJF seized the championship belt and struck Page.

As the referee counted, Page quickly stood, retaliating with a belt shot. Just when it seemed he might land another blow, MJF choked him with a chain, leading to Page appearing knocked out. The referee counted him out, allowing MJF to retain his title, while Page is now barred from competing for the championship again.

FTR and The Young Bucks’ Epic Match

In another thrilling encounter, Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler of FTR went up against Nick and Matt Jackson, the Young Bucks. They traded blows right from the start, with FTR asserting their dominance. FTR played the ultimate heel, taunting their opponents, and their strategy paid off as they captured the tag team titles in a hard-fought battle.

This victory marked FTR’s third championship run, tying records and securing their fifth title defense since regaining the title against Bandido and Brody King at Full Gear.

Surprises and Returns

AEW Revolution was full of unexpected moments. Ronda Rousey made her long-awaited return to wrestling, stepping into an AEW ring for the first time, and left fans buzzing. She appeared to team up with the Death Riders after a period away from professional wrestling. It’s uncertain how involved she’ll be moving forward.

Jon Moxley defended his title successfully against Konosuke Takeshita, but his celebration was cut short when the lights went out, signaling the return of Will Ospreay, who has been recovering from a serious injury—an exciting moment for fans after months without seeing him compete.

FTR’s win celebration was abruptly interrupted when Christian Cage attacked them from behind. This implies a potential feud ahead, particularly since Cage and Coop have not been welcome following their return.

New Champions Crowned

During the night, several new champions emerged. Jack Perry captured the AEW National Championship after a thrilling 21-man Blackjack Battle Royal by eliminating both El Cron and Ricochet. Meanwhile, Lena Cross, despite losing the TBS Championship match, played a crucial role in allowing her tag team, Divine Dominion, to claim the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship against the Angry Babes.

Finally, the AEW World Trios Championship went to Mistico, “Speedball” Mike Bailey, and Kevin Knight, who triumphed over their opponents. Mistico’s signing was officially announced, signaling his future contributions to AEW.
