Savannah Guthrie’s Potential Return to “Today” Show
Savannah Guthrie may be back on the “Today” show in just a few weeks. Sources indicate she’s hoping to return after her children’s spring break, though this could change depending on her mother’s situation.
In New York, most schools are set to resume by April 10th.
Guthrie is said to want to spend as much time as possible with her husband, Michael Feldman, and their kids, Vale, 11, and Charlie, 9, before stepping back into the public eye.
There’s a lot happening in terms of the investigation and her mother’s recovery.
Her mother, Nancy, disappeared from her home in Arizona back in January.
Meanwhile, Hoda Kotb, who has been filling in for Guthrie, is also quite busy. She’s preparing for the launch of the Joy 101 app and recently hosted a wellness retreat in Scottsdale, Arizona, from March 13th to 15th.
A source has mentioned that Kotb’s commitments aren’t causing additional pressure; another anchor will be stepping in for Guthrie during her absence.
However, information from a different source close to the “Today” show suggests that no definitive return date for Guthrie has been set, and Kotb will likely continue in her current role.
On March 5, Guthrie made an appearance at Studio 1A in Rockefeller Center, expressing her gratitude toward her colleagues for their concern. She remarked, “They cared about my mother as much as I do.”
In her address, Guthrie mentioned her intent to come back: “I have plans to come back. I don’t know how to go back, but I also don’t know how not to go back. You’re my family. And I want to try.”
She added, “I wanted you to know that I’m still standing, that there’s still hope, that I’m still me. I don’t know what version of me that will be, but it will be.”
