DeAndre Hopkins has made it clear that he sees Minnesota as a potential destination for Kyler Murray in the future.
The 33-year-old wide receiver, currently a free agent, shared with TMZ that he would love to reunite with Murray, 28, after their three-season run together in Arizona from 2020 to 2022.
“Kyler… that’s my brother. Kyler is like family,” Hopkins said during an interaction at LAX, where he was asked about Murray.
Hopkins expressed his willingness to support Murray, stating, “Anything I can do for a guy like that. If Kyler needs me, if the Vikings need me, they’ll know I’ll be there.”
Last season, Hopkins played in 17 games for the Ravens, starting only three, with 22 catches totaling 330 yards and two touchdowns.
In that discussion with TMZ, he pointed out that the Vikings already have Justin Jefferson on their roster and suggested that adding him could create a formidable lineup.
However, the Vikings weren’t the sole team considered by Hopkins for a future move.
In an interview with Kay Adams, the host of “Up and Adams,” she floated the idea of joining Joe Burrow in Cincinnati or possibly returning to Houston.
Regarding Burrow, Hopkins remarked, “Joe Burrow is one of the best players in this game. I’ve looked up to Joe since he was at LSU, when he was beating my Clemson Tigers. I still love Joe. Joe is one of the best players to do it.”
When Adams mentioned the possibility of him in a Texans jersey, he responded with affection for Houston, saying, “I love Houston. Houston is home. I still live there, so you know a little bit.”
Hopkins is currently in his 14th NFL season and seeks to join his fifth team since being picked 27th overall by the Texans in 2013.
Murray, the 2019 No. 1 overall pick, joined the Vikings recently on a one-year deal after being released by the Cardinals.
