Puka Nacua's allegations of biting and anti-Semitism, clarified with his unexpected defense

Latest Controversy Surrounding Rams Receiver Puka Nacua

Puka Nacua, a wide receiver for the Los Angeles Rams, is facing serious allegations following an incident on New Year’s Eve. He reportedly bit a woman and made anti-Semitic comments at a gathering. His legal team described the situation as merely “horseplay,” although they acknowledge there’s some accuracy to the claims. This incident adds to a growing list of controversies for Nacua.

Until early December 2025, Nacua was not a prominent figure off the field. However, that changed when he began associating with podcaster Adin Roth, who has a controversial history regarding anti-Semitism. The situation escalated on December 16, when video surfaced of Nacua joking with Roth about performing a “Greedy Jew” dance after a touchdown, leading to public backlash. He later apologized, stating he was unaware of the offensive nature of the gesture.

“During a recent social media livestream, I was suggested to perform certain moves for an upcoming touchdown celebration. At the time, I didn’t recognize that this act was anti-Semitic and perpetuated harmful stereotypes. I do not stand for racism or bigotry and sincerely apologize to anyone offended by my actions.”

Interestingly, Nacua later deleted the apology from his Instagram, with no clear explanation. In that same livestream, he made comments about NFL officials and suggested concussions weren’t a real issue, even going so far as to blame Taylor Swift for a team’s loss.

Details on the New Year’s Eve Incident

The alleged victim reported that during the New Year’s celebration, there were distressing conversations, including Nacua saying “fuck all Jews.” As tensions rose, the situation reportedly became increasingly vulgar and threatening.

After dining together, the group returned to a van, where Nacua allegedly engaged in inappropriate behavior with several women. It culminated in him being accused of biting the victim and her friend.

“He bit his girlfriend’s knee and groin hard enough that she screamed. Then he turned to bite her shoulder, breaking the skin and leaving teeth marks,” the report stated.

The next day, the woman filed a police report. During a mediation meeting with Nacua’s lawyer, it was alleged she sought “millions in damages” and exaggerated the situation, even threatening to leak her story to TMZ.

Nacua’s attorney, Levi McCathern, admitted his client did bite the woman, leaving a temporary mark, but downplayed the seriousness of the situation.

“The group was just having fun; it was horseplay that led to the bite, resulting in only temporary markings,” McCathern asserted.

A Los Angeles judge denied the woman a temporary restraining order against Nacua, with a hearing set for April 14. As of now, the Rams have not commented on the incident.

A Tumultuous Offseason for Nacua

While the December allegations are still unfolding, they add to a series of recent controversies. Earlier in January, Nacua’s brother Samson was arrested for allegedly stealing a car, which he claimed he thought belonged to Puka, though the charges were later dropped.

In February, Nacua was interviewed by actress Sidney Sweeney and mentioned going skydiving with her. However, this turned out to be fabricated, as it was later revealed they had no such plans. Furthermore, on Super Bowl night, Nacua seemed to mock Seahawks QB Sam Darnold, but his explanations didn’t align well with the timeline of events.

Recently, Nacua was also seen at a UFC fight, appearing to be under the influence, which once again drew attention.

Rams Remain Silent Amidst Chaos

Interestingly, the Rams have remained surprisingly quiet during all this. Nacua initially kept to himself, but has become more vocal this past season. Reports suggest he may be rubbing teammates the wrong way with his attitude. The situation became more complicated with rumors that the team is considering drafting a new offensive weapon with their upcoming pick in the NFL Draft.

If the Rams were genuinely confident in Nacua, they would likely have offered him a long-term contract by now, especially with the impending draft. Instead, the lack of action speaks volumes, suggesting they are unsure about his future with the team.
