Son of WWE Hall of Famer Paul Bearer Passes Away

Daniel Moody, son of the late WWE Hall of Famer Paul Bearer, died on March 23rd at the age of 39.

This news was shared on Facebook, with a post by Steve Stasiak, President of Book Pro Wrestlers, confirming his passing. Stasiak noted, “Daniel Moody, known to many in the professional wrestling world as DJ Pringle, has passed away. He carried the legacy of his father while forging his own identity in wrestling.”

A GoFundMe page had been established prior to Moody’s death, indicating he was in long-term care after a serious health crisis that required surgery on November 7 of the previous year. This page has now been updated to reflect his death.

Stasiak expressed heartfelt condolences, saying, “For those who met him or worked alongside him, this loss resonates deeply. There’s a history and a bond in this business that remains unbreakable.” He emphasized how moments like these highlight the tight-knit community of wrestling and its enduring roots.

The crowdfunding effort was initially aimed at assisting Moody’s family in covering his medical bills, with a target of $4,500. The recent update on the site states that donations will now assist with funeral expenses.

Daniel had previously lost his famous father to a heart attack in 2013 and his mother, Deanna, in 2009. His brother, Michael, passed away in 2014.

Moody was a respected figure in Alabama’s independent wrestling scene. Stasiak concluded his tribute with, “Our thoughts, prayers, and respect go out to Daniel’s friends, family, and all who knew him beyond just his name and achievements. Rest in peace, Daniel.”

The specific cause of Moody’s death has yet to be made public.
