Arnold Schwarzenegger Supports Son Joseph Baena’s Bodybuilding Debut

Arnold Schwarzenegger is actively assisting his son Joseph Baena, who is gearing up for his first bodybuilding competition this Saturday in Colorado. At Gold’s Gym in Venice, California, the duo has been working together as Joseph prepares for this significant event.

A recent TikTok video features Baena showcasing his weightlifting progress, while Arnold proudly observes, echoing his own legendary journey in bodybuilding. Having clinched the Mr. Olympia title seven times, Schwarzenegger’s influence is hard to miss.

In one of his clips, Baena captions, “I need to shock my muscles,” a hint at his training intensity. Another post reads, “Almost showtime,” as he flexes for his social media audience of hundreds of thousands.

As excitement builds, Baena recently shared that he has gained 18 pounds in the past eight weeks leading up to the NPC Natural Colorado State Championships, taking place at the Pinnacle Performing Arts Center in Denver.

The competition has strict regulations, including mandatory drug testing for all athletes. Participants are required to take a 30-minute polygraph test prior to the event, with an understanding that there will be no refunds if the results are unfavorable.

Despite speculation about his path in bodybuilding, Baena’s aspirations have taken shape in recent years. Arnold’s relationship with Baena stems from a past affair with his former housekeeper, an admission that brought significant changes in his personal life and marriage.

Among Schwarzenegger’s five children, Joseph appears to embrace his father’s legacy in both acting and bodybuilding. Baena has openly praised his father, stating, “He’s a great father and role model.” His gratitude shines through, especially as he notes the unwavering support he has received throughout his endeavors.

Meanwhile, Schwarzenegger himself has been preparing for a return to the screen, specifically for the sequel to “Conan the Barbarian.” Reports indicate he is pushing his limits in the gym to embody the iconic character once more. This sequel, long anticipated, aims to depict an older Conan encountering new challenges.

The original film, released in 1982, was a significant milestone for Schwarzenegger, catapulting him to stardom with impressive box office earnings. While the 2011 remake failed to resonate with audiences, “King Conan,” as the new project is titled, may well serve as a fitting chapter in Schwarzenegger’s illustrious career.
