Aubrey Plaza sells her Los Feliz house where her husband Jeff Baena passed away.

Actress Aubrey Plaza has successfully sold her Spanish-style mansion in California about three months after listing it at a reduced price of $5.75 million.

Plaza, 41, initially put her charming Los Feliz home on the market for $6.5 million in September, eight months following the tragic passing of her husband, film director Jeff Baena, who died by suicide at the property.

The four-bedroom house was removed from the market but re-emerged in January this year with a significantly lower asking price.

Currently, real estate records indicate that Plaza has accepted an offer, though the exact sale price remains unknown.

The property’s status shows as “Conditional,” implying that while the deal is on track, certain criteria must be met before the final sale occurs.

Plaza and Baena bought the Los Feliz residence for $4.7 million in October 2022, with the purchase reportedly made through a trust managed by an accounting firm linked to Plaza’s production company.

Built in 1928, the four-bedroom, 5.5-bathroom Mediterranean-style home seems to have been sold off-market according to available data. It last changed hands in 2017 for $3.6 million, before the couple took ownership in 2022.

The listing portrays the home as “tucked in a private driveway” within a desirable neighborhood in Los Feliz Oaks.

Described as “meticulously restored and tastefully renovated,” the home respects its architectural heritage while providing modern features such as a projection room, wine cellar, pool, steam room, and high-quality sound system.

“This is not just a home…it’s like a private sanctuary brought to life with care, style, and timeless personality,” the description adds, making it sound like a rare find for those looking for space and authentic Spanish charm.

Images from the listing exhibit an elegant interior with a neutral color palette that invites natural light into the space. The kitchen opens up with large glass doors to the backyard, creating a smooth transition between the indoor and outdoor areas.

There are some vibrant colors incorporated as well, like a large pink sofa in one living area and bright tiles in the bathroom. Plaza seems to favor pink; the master bathroom features a soft rose hue and playful light fixtures.

The home also includes various outdoor living spaces, ideal for dining and relaxation, alongside a beautiful pool surrounded by trees that provide shade on warm days.

One of the living areas showcases an artistic arched window that highlights the beauty of the garden, further enhancing the atmosphere with a cozy fireplace.

Arches are a recurring element throughout the home, from the distinctive front door to the arched openings connecting many of the main areas.

Plaza and Baena purchased the property just over a year after confirming their secret marriage, a piece of news Plaza shared on Instagram in May 2021, referring to Baena as her “beloved husband.”

The couple, who began dating in 2011, have largely kept their relationship out of the public eye. In previous interviews, Plaza mentioned that their mutual love for film greatly enriched their bond.

Baena was found deceased on January 3, 2025, at the home he shared with Plaza, and the coroner ruled the death a suicide.

In the aftermath, Plaza discussed her grief with fellow comedians, describing it as a “huge, terrifying ocean.” During an appearance on Amy Poehler’s podcast, she reflected on how each day presents challenges as she navigates her husband’s passing.

“Overall, I’m here and I’m functioning. I’m really grateful to be able to move through the world. I think I’m okay, but obviously it’s kind of a daily struggle,” she expressed.
