The extravagant lifestyle of former Penthouse Pet Mia Ventura, whose real name is Adva Lavie, appears to have crumbled after the daughter of one of her alleged victims uncovered disturbing posts on Instagram.
Prosecutors claim that Lavie exploited a “sugar daddy” dating site to find victims, presenting herself as the ideal partner while secretly robbing luxury homes in Los Angeles.
One notable case involves Michael Crain, an 80-year-old ex-lawyer from Beverly Hills, who lived in an exclusive neighborhood. His daughter, Elizabeth, reported that he stored numerous designer clothes and handbags in their home, as highlighted during court testimonies.
In April 2025, Crain and Elizabeth discovered that $100,000 worth of items, including a wedding dress, had vanished. Left behind were merely hangers and empty garment bags.
Elizabeth, upon checking Lavie’s Instagram, spotted a unique zebra print dress that had been in her closet before it disappeared.
She also noticed a post featuring Lavie in a pair of shoes that were also missing from her home.
Elizabeth remarked that accusing Lavie of theft was “a bridge too far,” but by that point, she had already suspected her of previous thefts. In addition to clothes, a suitcase with $17,000 in cash and a valuable coin collection were reported stolen.
Elizabeth said Lavie deceived her into paying $25,000, claiming it was for bills related to her deceased mother.
From 2023 to 2025, prosecutors indicate that Lavie utilized dating apps like Secret Benefits to rob affluent older men as well as younger women across areas like Westlake Village and Beverly Hills. She allegedly gained access to these homes by pretending to be a girlfriend or friend and then made off with money, gold, and luxury items.
Facing over 11 years behind bars, Lavie has been charged with six felonies, including multiple counts of grand larceny.
Another victim, John Parks, recalled meeting Lavie through Secret Benefits and, during a lunch date, inadvertently leaving his wallet on the table. Months later, he found over $10,000 in unauthorized charges at a high-end designer store linked to Lavie.
Yet another alleged victim, Mike Farag, invited Lavie to his Westlake Village home for modeling advice. During her visit, she asked to use the upstairs bathroom and subsequently left without feeling well. Later, he discovered that several valuable items, including gold coins and a watch, were missing from his home.
Currently, Lavie is under house arrest and has been contesting the electronic monitoring conditions in court, claiming it hinders her job prospects. She reportedly expressed to the judge, “I can’t get a job with an ankle monitor on. No one will hire me,” adding that financial pressures were mounting.
