Braylon Mullins' partner honors his memorable March Madness shot

Exciting Victory for UW’s Braylon Mullins

Braylon Mullins, a freshman guard for the University of Washington, had his high school sweetheart, Kylie Beranek, cheering him on as he emerged as a hero during the Huskies’ game in March Madness on Sunday.

Following his remarkable 3-pointer with just 0.4 seconds left, the couple celebrated in their hotel room. This shot secured a 73-72 win against top-seeded Duke at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C., allowing the team to advance to the Final Four after coming back from a 19-point deficit at halftime.

Kylie shared a sweet video on TikTok, showing her excitement as she hugged Braylon and danced to the Jackson 5’s “Goin’ Back to Indiana.”

She wore jeans that had Mullins’ name on the hem along with a UConn T-shirt that boldly declared, “We’re Not Done.”

At one point during their celebration, Mullins grabbed a Final Four hat from her while she playfully showcased her shirt to the camera.

“Welcome back baby!!” she posted, hinting at the upcoming semifinal game against the University of Illinois on April 4 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

Mullins and Beranek reportedly began dating while they were both in high school, which were rivals only 11 miles apart in Indiana. He played basketball at Greenfield Central High School while she was on both the soccer and basketball teams at New Palestine High School.

In an Instagram Story, Beranek enthusiastically wrote, “Go back to Indiana!!” along with a photo of them embracing on the court after the victory.

Beranek graduated high school last May and later joined Mullins at Storrs, enrolling at UW in August. It seems their bond has only grown stronger as they navigate college life together.
