Upcoming NXT Women’s Championship Match

Jaycee Jayne has held the NXT Women’s Championship for more than 130 days, and many expect her to keep that title when the Stand & Deliver event wraps up on Saturday night.

Recently, her aspirations for a direct match against either Kendall Gray or Laura Vice took a turn. NXT GM Rob Stone revealed a triple threat match for the title instead. The earlier match between Gray and Vice, which was meant to crown the No. 1 contender, stirred up some controversy as both a tap out and a pinfall occurred during it.

In an effort to rectify the situation, Stone scheduled a match pitting both challengers against Jayne with the title on the line. Before any decisions were official, Jayne expressed her confidence, stating that it didn’t matter who she faced. “No, because I’ve already beaten them both. I’m going to do what I’ve always done: win and remain the NXT Women’s Champion,” she asserted.

This will mark Jayne’s second title defense as champion. She began this reign after defeating Tatum Paxley at NXT Gold Rush in November. Notably, she stands among four women who have captured the NXT Women’s Championship at least twice—alongside Roxanne Perez, Charlotte Flair, and Shayna Baszler.

Meanwhile, Ricky Saints is also eyeing a championship win at the Stand & Performance event.

Jayne, hailing from New Jersey, is eager to silence her doubters. “I’ve felt very underrated, and many questioned my winning the title. Now, they see that I’ve proven them wrong during my time as champion,” she remarked. “I always believed I would reach this point; it was just about waiting for the right moment,” she continued, adding a bit cheekily, “I love making grown men cry.”

NXT Stand & Deliver is set to kick off Saturday night at 7 PM ET in St. Louis, Missouri. The event will be accessible for viewing on YouTube.
