Protester States '86 47' Refers to 'We're Out of Mashed Potatoes'

No Kings Protest in Jim Thorpe Raises Eyebrows

During a recent protest in Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, one demonstrator held a sign that read “No Kings, 86 47, No War.” When approached by a reporter from Breitbart News, the woman was asked about the meaning behind her sign, but she didn’t seem very willing to elaborate.

Now, “86” often implies getting rid of someone, sometimes in violent ways, so naturally, the reporter probed further about whether this referred to President Trump. The woman responded, “I didn’t say that,” appearing somewhat taken aback by the question.

The reporter pointed out that such signs typically carry heavy implications, but she insisted it simply meant “out of mashed potatoes”—a curious claim, indeed. Another bystander chimed in, suggesting the sign was actually calling for Trump’s resignation.

Things took a more serious turn when Purdy asked the protesters about a recent assassination attempt on Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania. Most seemed hesitant to engage, asking him to leave instead. In the background, you could hear sarcastic remarks echoing through the crowd.

An individual, whose voice had a curious resemblance to the cartoon character Mr. Krabs, accused the reporter of trying to incite conflict. Purdy clarified he was merely asking questions about the signs being displayed.

This protest was just one of many anti-Trump demonstrations occurring nationwide over the weekend. In Los Angeles, for instance, some protesters resorted to vandalizing federal buildings, throwing chunks of concrete at Department of Homeland Security personnel.

Additionally, there was a gathering in San Antonio, Texas, where members of various activist groups criticized Trump’s actions and those of the U.S. military in Iran. They filled the streets, chanting slogans against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and advocating for the complete abolition of the agency. Some attendees carried flags with strong language condemning military actions, reflecting the heightened emotions surrounding the gatherings.

As you might expect, several left-wing celebrities came out in support of these protests, adding more fuel to the fire. It seems the divisive climate continues to inspire strong reactions from both sides of the political spectrum.
