Tiger Woods Revealed He Contacted Trump After Car Accident

Tiger Woods revealed that he contacted President Trump shortly after his car flipped over in Jupiter Island, Florida, last week.

Body camera footage from the police shows Woods walking towards the accident site and speaking on the phone.

“Thank you very much. Okay. Bye,” Woods is heard saying, and later, he told an officer, “I was just talking to the president.”

Tiger Woods was arrested in Florida last week for declining to take a legal urine test. He faces charges of misdemeanor criminal damage to property and DUI. On Tuesday, court documents indicated that police discovered two hydrocodone tablets in his pocket when they arrived at the scene of the rollover accident.

According to the affidavit, Woods mentioned that he was looking at his cell phone inside the Range Rover and was changing radio stations, which caused him to miss the truck pulling the trailer that slowed down.

Deputy Tatiana Revenner from the Martin County Sheriff’s Office noted in the arrest affidavit that Woods was “sweating profusely” and exhibited “lethargic and sluggish” behavior during questioning.

Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek stated that a breath test showed no signs of alcohol in Woods. He also mentioned that Woods declined to undergo urine or blood tests for other substances.

Days later, Woods entered a not guilty plea and announced his retirement from professional golf.

“I am aware and understand the seriousness of the situation I find myself in today,” he expressed in a statement. “I will be taking time off to focus on my health, which is necessary for my recovery.”

“I am committed to taking the time I need to return to a healthier and more focused state, both personally and professionally. I appreciate your understanding and support, and kindly ask for privacy for my family and myself during this time,” he added.

President Trump commented on the situation, expressing sympathy for his longtime friend. “I feel so bad. He’s having a hard time. There was an accident. That’s all I know,” Trump said. “He’s a very close friend of mine. A great guy, but there are some challenges.”

In 2019, President Trump awarded Tiger Woods the Congressional Medal of Freedom. Interestingly, Woods is currently dating Vanessa Trump, who is the mother of Trump’s grandson and the ex-wife of Donald Trump Jr.
