Tiger Woods Arrested Following Car Crash

Tiger Woods faced a serious situation last Friday after his car accident, which, strangely enough, put his golf clubs in a precarious position—those clubs are pretty much invaluable to him. The crash involved his 2025 Range Rover, which ended up tipping onto the driver’s side. Almost two hours later, Woods was apprehended for driving under the influence.

When authorities arrived, they spoke to Woods’ manager, Rob McNamara, who emphasized how crucial the clubs were. There’s something quite striking about that—perhaps more valuable than any material possession. The deputy, visible on body camera footage, even remarked, “It’s worth more than my house,” to which McNamara humorously responded that the putter alone was worth more than all their homes combined.

Interestingly, Woods once claimed he only needed a “stick,” meaning a putter, to clinch victories in major tournaments. It’s a nod to his past winnings, including the 1997 Masters, where he won by a whopping 12 strokes using a different putter.

As the deputy assessed the situation, he noted the presence of “high-value items” belonging to a “celebrity” in the trunk, and due to the crash, they couldn’t access it directly. Fire department personnel were called in to break the rear windshield, allowing them to hand over one of Woods’ clubs to McNamara for safekeeping.

The clubs were notably in a Monster Energy branded bag, and the driver had on Woods’ recognizable tiger cover. There was even a quip about finding one of Woods’ red shirts, which, humorously, was said to be worth more than a typical paycheck.

Woods did not pass the field sobriety test, showing signs of being impaired. He was described as lethargic and subsequently taken into custody. Although his breathalyzer reading showed “triple zero,” he failed to provide a urine sample, leading to additional charges. Officers reported discovering hydrocodone pills, typically used for pain relief.

Woods previously mentioned to officials that he had undergone seven back surgeries and over 20 leg surgeries. After a severe accident in 2021, he faced significant injuries that kept him off the golf course for an entire year. He expressed a desire to play in the Masters, although he later clarified that he was taking a break from golf to pursue medical treatment.

In a social media statement, Woods acknowledged the seriousness of his situation and communicated his intention to focus on his health moving forward. He emphasized the importance of prioritizing his well-being for a lasting recovery, thanking everyone for their understanding and requesting privacy for himself and his family during this challenging time.
