Trump Issues Iran Deadline Amid Ongoing Conflict

President Donald Trump has set a two-day ultimatum for Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, warning of serious repercussions if they fail to comply as Operation Epic Fury approaches its sixth week.

“Remember when I gave Iran ten days to MAKE A DEAL or OPEN UP THE HORMUZ STRAIT?” Trump posted on his Truth Social platform. “Time is running out.”

He emphasized that Iran has “48 hours before all Hell will reign down on them.”

“Glory be to GOD!” Trump added.

The Strait of Hormuz is vital, with about 20% of the world’s oil passing through it, and Iran has maintained a tight control during weeks of conflict involving the U.S. and Israel.

Trump has also reminded U.S. allies that much of America’s oil isn’t transported through this strait, urging countries that depend on Gulf oil imports to help protect this crucial route.

Recently, he expressed a willingness to allow Iran’s new government to negotiate, particularly after the U.S. received ten oil tankers from Tehran intended to demonstrate their legitimacy.

However, the looming deadline coincides with ongoing efforts by U.S. and Israeli forces to rescue one pilot from an F-15E Strike Eagle jet that was shot down over Iran. One pilot has been saved by special forces, but a bounty has been placed on the other. Both are believed to have ejected and landed separately.
