Perez Hilton Shares Transformative Faith Journey Following Health Crisis

Popular blogger Perez Hilton has opened up about his spiritual journey, sharing how he encountered God during a recent life-threatening medical incident.

After spending three weeks hospitalized due to severe sepsis and an infection, Hilton shared a heartfelt video, stating that God “revealed himself” during his struggles, bringing transformative changes to his life.

“It was nothing short of a miracle…it felt real and was life-changing,” he expressed in his video.

In addition, he posted another emotional video on social media, where he extended apologies for past actions and mentioned that he has started reading the Bible again.

“I’ve been crying — happy tears. It’s overwhelming in the most beautiful way,” he explained, highlighting how what he read resonated with the changes he’s been making personally. He also reflected on past mistakes, acknowledging their public nature.

“I’ve made plenty of mistakes; everyone does. I have deep shame and regret,” he admitted, promising to continue seeking forgiveness and making amends. “Because I was selfish and often oblivious to the hurt I caused,” he continued, noting a shift in public perception towards him since returning home.

He mentioned, “Some people enjoyed my past behavior, but it felt like most people hated me. Yet, lately, I’ve received more love and prayers.”

Hilton recognizes that not everyone is supportive of his newfound spiritual focus and that some may wish to see him struggle. Nonetheless, he firmly believes in God’s love and forgiveness.

“I know some might be tired of my conversations about God. But my experience is real, and my testimony matters,” he stated, committing to be a better person moving forward.

He emphasized, “What matters is how I act today and tomorrow. God has not only saved me in many ways, but He has provided me with a new chance to truly improve.”

In the comments, various Christian celebrities expressed encouragement. Actor Donnie Wahlberg mentioned his support, urging others to “keep an eye” on Hilton. Candace Cameron Bure and singer Kaya Jones both offered prayers for him.

Hilton, who was raised Catholic, mentioned that he hadn’t been a believer until now, expressing eagerness to start taking his children to church. He has continued to post videos expressing gratitude and discussing his evolving faith as he recovers from hospitalization.
