With roots in Lebanon and Syria, Lula runs a financial planning business. Her husband is a podiatrist, and they’ve been married for nine years. Lula identifies as a “nautical girl,” a title she embraces in her first episode. Interestingly, she is considered one of the few female captains in Rhode Island, earning herself the moniker “Boss Bitch.”

This situation is a bit nuanced. In the second episode, it came to light that Brian had an affair about a year prior to filming, specifically around summer 2024. Lula discovered the infidelity through Jo-Ellen Tiberi, who stumbled upon photos of Brian with another woman. Brian contended that the affair was behind him, while Lula revealed she was still grappling with forgiveness and hinted that his connection with the woman wasn’t completely over.
In her confessional, Liz remarked on the situation, suggesting it is widely acknowledged that Brian remains involved with this woman, labeling her as his “mistress.” I guess we’re all eager for clarity on this matter.
Why Did Lula Neeme Pontarelli Have Her Husband Arrested?
An October 2025 report from Rhode Island State Police indicates that Lula accused Brian of installing a tracking device in her car, which led to a domestic violence misdemeanor charge. Lula claimed Brian had admitted to tracking her movements without consent, and he accused her of placing a device in her vehicle that he insisted was for better Wi-Fi, but which turned out to be a recording device. Authorities later located this device in Lula’s tire bag. Brian was arrested, but by December 2025, the criminal charges against him were dropped.
Despite the prior controversy, Lula and Brian seem to be working on their marriage. He was present with her at a recent taping of Watch What Happens Live alongside some fellow Rhode Island househusbands.
Current Relations Between Lula and Jo-Ellen
Lula’s relationship with Jo-Ellen appears to be tense. She referred to Jo-Ellen as a “shit stirrer” and shared that what seems like friendliness isn’t always genuine. Following Jo-Ellen’s revelation of the photo of Brian and his supposed mistress, Lula accused her of gossiping around town and spreading rumors about her marriage.
