Gracie Hunt Engaged to Derek Green

Gracie Hunt is officially engaged to Derek Green, who happens to be the youngest son of former Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Trent Green.

The daughter of billionaire Chiefs CEO Clark Hunt shared her happy news on Instagram, posting sweet pictures on Saturday.

“It was always you,” the 27-year-old wrote, perhaps reflecting on the significance of the moment.

In one of the photos, 26-year-old Derek is seen proposing under an outdoor altar adorned with white flowers. Another snapshot captures the couple sharing a kiss, while a third focuses on Gracie’s emerald-cut engagement ring, which has white diamonds and a single emerald set in the band.

The joyful scene also included family and friends who filmed the proposal, celebrating with applause after Gracie said yes.

Gracie’s mother, Tavia, shared her excitement on Instagram, marking the engagement over the weekend.

“We’re having another son!!” the 54-year-old wrote on her Instagram Story, expressing her delight. “Gracie Green has a wonderful ring to it!!”

Tavia and Clark Hunt have three children: Gracie, Ava, who is 21, and son Knobel, who is 23.

In her post, Tavia continued, “These two will forever look so beautiful. God brought them together in such a special way, and our hearts are filled with joy… We are so grateful for everything that’s to come.”

Gracie and Derek began dating in April 2025. Gracie has previously mentioned that they have been friends since 2017, hinting at a long-standing bond.

Gracie first hinted at their relationship in an Instagram video they filmed at Arrowhead Stadium, which she has since removed. She referenced Taylor Swift’s song “Invisible String” in the caption, saying, “Ever since we met here 7 and a half years ago, there’s been an invisible thread.”

Interestingly, Taylor Swift is also in the news for her engagement to Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, who proposed to her in August 2025.

Gracie returned to social media last July, confirming her friendship-turned-romance with Derek.

In a previous Instagram post, Gracie expressed, “I’m dating my best friend,” with Swift’s “You Belong With Me” playing in the background.

Before her relationship with Derek, Gracie was connected to real estate broker Cody Keith. He wasn’t seen at Gracie’s birthday celebrations or at significant Chiefs events.
