Jasveen Sangha, known as the 'Ketamine Queen,' Receives 15-Year Prison Sentence Linked to Matthew Perry’s Death

Judge Sentences “Ketamine Queen” in Connection with Matthew Perry’s Death

A Los Angeles judge has given Jasveen Sangha, known as the “Ketamine Queen,” a 15-year federal prison sentence linked to the death of beloved actor Matthew Perry. This sentence was announced Wednesday.

Sangha admitted to providing the drugs that led to Perry’s death on October 28, 2023, as reported by CBS News. In 2025, she pleaded guilty to several charges: three counts of ketamine distribution, one count of distributing the drug that resulted in death or serious injury, and one for maintaining premises involved in drug-related activities.

According to CBS News, she also confessed to instructing accomplices to erase incriminating text messages and organized various drug deals. She was arrested in August 2024 following the incident.

Sangha is the third person to be sentenced in this case. In December, Salvador Plasensia, a former physician, received a 30-month sentence for illegally giving ketamine to Perry and his assistant. Dr. Mark Chavez was handed a sentence of three years of supervised release, which includes eight months of home confinement and 300 hours of community service after pleading guilty to distributing ketamine.

Two additional individuals are awaiting sentencing related to Perry’s death. Kenneth Iwamasa, Perry’s personal assistant, is said to have purchased the drugs and injected Perry with them multiple times. Prosecutors allege he administered the fatal shots and could face up to 15 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to conspiring to distribute ketamine that caused death.

Erik Fleming, who acted as a connection between Sangha and Iwamasa, also pleaded guilty in August 2024 to conspiracy and distribution charges. He could be looking at a 25-year sentence.

Matthew Perry was renowned for playing Chandler Bing on “Friends” and struggled with addiction throughout his life. An autopsy identified “acute effects of ketamine” as the cause of death, with additional factors like drowning and coronary artery disease contributing, labeling his death as accidental.

The tragedy of Perry’s death has drawn attention to the dangers and prevalence of ketamine use in Hollywood.
