This week, they shared glimpses of their recent family vacation on social media, posing against a backdrop of desert mountains. The group, which included Tarek El Moussa and Haak’s boyfriend, Christopher Larroca, showcased their vacation wear in a relaxed and sunny atmosphere, highlighting their cohesive family dynamic amidst previous challenges including a public divorce.
Haak opted for a bright yellow bikini paired with a matching mesh sarong and a tan cowboy hat. Meanwhile, Heather Rae sported a textured pink bandeau bikini with golden detailing and a complementary wrap. Their cheerful posing exemplified a meaningful milestone for the family.
Along with photos of themselves, the duo shared images featuring the larger group of family members, which included children bonding together. Haak and Tarek are parents to daughter Taylor, 15, and son Brayden, 10, while Haak’s youngest son Hudson, 6, and Tarek and Heather’s son Tristan, 3, were also present.

Growing their connection as a blended family seems easy at first glance, but Heather Rae has acknowledged the realities of their relationships. In a candid TikTok video, she opened up about her relationship with Tarek, noting the imperfections and hurdles they’ve navigated over their time together.
“We’re not perfect, and like any couple, we’ve faced challenges,” she remarked, emphasizing that long-term relationships often bring unique struggles.
Despite the tough moments, Heather credits their marriage strength to Tarek’s romantic gestures that began early on. She fondly recalls how he would go to great lengths to ensure their dates happened, balancing filming commitments and parenting duties just to be with her.
Heather talked about Tarek’s thoughtful gestures during their early romance. “On our second date, he had me wear Valentino heels and guessed my size,” she reminisced. “He even surprised me with a trip to Hawaii, where he shut down a theme park for us.” Such efforts, she insists, show a man’s dedication when he truly wants to be with you.
She also mentioned that she intentionally set boundaries at the beginning, making it clear that she was serious about her standards. “I told him, ‘You can come for drinks, but nothing else.’ It was either he committed to making time or he didn’t.”
Heather Rae advises that if partners aren’t showing effort early on, it could be a red flag for the future of the relationship. Nevertheless, Tarek’s thoughtful gestures, like surprising her with flowers, have continued even after years together.
Their commitment to family also extends to their working relationship. Originally coming together as ex-lovers and new spouses, Christina and Heather Rae have since become collaborative friends. Haak has praised Heather’s dedication as a stepmother to Taylor and Brayden.
Currently, they are filming the second season of “The Flip Off,” an HGTV competition series where couples go head-to-head in home renovation challenges, showcasing their unique dynamic and rivalry.
