Stephen Krubeck Cuts Ties with Eric Swalwell
Left-handed billionaire Stephen Krubeck has made headlines by severing his relationship with Eric Swalwell, even going so far as to evict him from his mansion.
“I no longer support Eric,” Krubeck stated in an exclusive chat. “Just so everyone knows, I identify as a Libertarian now. I’m done with the Democrats.” This shocking fallout between Krubeck, a timeshare mogul, and the Bay Area congressman marks yet another twist in Swalwell’s tumultuous political journey, especially after he recently exited the gubernatorial race.
On Friday, accusations of rape, sexual assault, and misconduct from several women connected to Swalwell came to light, causing him to lose much of his momentum in the Democratic race for governor. He faced calls for resignation and a potential criminal investigation.
Krubeck invested over $1 million in Swalwell’s campaign. Ironically, Swalwell filmed his disavowal video from within Krubeck’s luxurious Beverly Hills residence.
It seems Swalwell no longer resides with Krubeck and his fiancée, who is herself involved in legal controversies. Krubeck acknowledged, “I have a lot of people staying at my house,” and he added with a chuckle, “I built this gorgeous place, and I’m really enjoying it. I consider myself a kind and generous person.”
Now, he’s contemplating consulting a legal expert about possibly retrieving the $1 million he contributed to support Swalwell.
It’s worth mentioning that just weeks ago, Krubeck referred to Swalwell as his “little brother.” Back then, he dismissed rumors of Swalwell’s alleged misconduct during a previous interview.
Krubeck, a longtime Democrat, expressed uncertainty about the future implications of the allegations but acknowledged that they’re serious enough that Swalwell might need to step down.
“The truth remains to be seen. We’re hearing all sorts of things,” he remarked. When asked if he believed Swalwell’s intentions were genuine, he replied, “That’s something that needs to be looked into. I honestly don’t know.”
Krubeck previously gained attention for his brief stint as a gubernatorial candidate and appearances on the reality show “Undercover Boss.” He generously supported Swalwell, even accommodating him in his expansive mansion and donating a substantial sum to his campaign.
He had pointed words for fellow billionaire Tom Steyer, criticizing him for using his wealth for questionable pursuits. “I’ve met many in this circle and will continue to,” Krubeck noted.
However, it seems his political identity is shifting. “I can’t stand this Democratic Party anymore,” he stated decisively. “It’s over. Finito.”
