Billionaire removes Swalwell and asks for $1M donation back due to new allegations of 'Drugging and Choking' from another woman

Allegations Mount Against Former Congressman Swalwell

Things are looking increasingly grim for former Congressman Eric Swalwell following his political downfall, as several women have come forward with serious allegations of sexual misconduct and assault against him.

The claims emerged last week, prompting Swalwell to withdraw from the California gubernatorial race and resign from Congress immediately thereafter.

Recently, another woman has accused him of drugging and sexually assaulting her in a hotel room back in 2018.

The controversy has taken a serious turn, particularly concerning Swalwell’s connection to billionaire Stephen Klubeck, founder of Diamond Resorts and a previous supporter. Klubeck confronted Swalwell at his California mansion, initially offering help due to the barrage of scandals but later expressing feelings of betrayal and demanding Swalwell’s eviction.

This situation includes a financial dispute, with Klubeck seeking to reclaim around $1 million in campaign contributions, stating that he could no longer support Swalwell due to the “heinous” nature of the allegations against him. He also announced a political shift, identifying himself now as a Libertarian instead of a Democrat.

“Tell everyone I’m a Libertarian. Fa, Democrats. I’m a Libertarian now,” he stated.

Despite maintaining his innocence, Swalwell recently posted a video from his home denying the allegations before leaving the country. Reports indicate that both the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department have launched investigations into his conduct.

These investigations will be handled by the Los Angeles Police Department’s Special Victims Bureau, as the alleged incident took place in West Hollywood.

The unfolding scandal has thrown California’s gubernatorial race into uncertainty, given that Swalwell was a frontrunner before these accusations shifted the narrative from political crisis to personal legal troubles.

Rona Drews, one of the accusers, expressed that she initially felt she and Swalwell had a friendly rapport, but things took a turn during a night out in West Hollywood after she ingested a drink she suspected had been tampered with.

Drews recounted that Swalwell had previously connected her to opportunities for her fashion software company, but she ended up feeling ruined and emotionally devastated.

Drews plans to file a formal complaint with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, providing supporting documents such as text messages and a diary from that time.

“He stood by me and provided connections… but I never consented to any sexual activity. I’ve documented everything in a calendar, and discussed it during therapy,” she stated.

Other women have echoed similar sentiments, believing that Swalwell thought he was beyond reproach. They argue his withdrawal from political life is just the beginning of the accountability needed.

This series of allegations began when Annika Albrecht shared her troubling experiences with Swalwell in a video directed at her friend Cheyenne Hunt, aimed at raising awareness before he could gain further political power.

“He thought he was untouchable,” said one accuser.

Albrecht and others shared experiences where Swalwell allegedly used his political stature to engage in inappropriate behavior under the guise of networking and mentoring.

Another anonymous accuser reported an incident in New York City in 2024, asserting that she was assaulted in her hotel room after a charity event while highly intoxicated.

In the wake of these serious allegations, over 30 women have reportedly reached out to Hunt, indicating a troubling pattern of behavior that extends beyond the main accusations.

“This fight is not over. It’s just begun,” Hunt stated, emphasizing that a broader reckoning is desperately needed.
