Ruby Rose completes police report regarding the supposed assault by Katy Perry

Ruby Rose has filed a police report against Katy Perry, alleging sexual assault that took place over two decades ago. This revelation came to light after Rose, 40, spoke out following a clip of Perry expressing her admiration for Justin Bieber during Coachella. In a post, Rose stated, “As of this afternoon, I have completed all reports. This means I can no longer comment, repost, or speak publicly about these incidents or the individuals involved.”

Perry swiftly responded by calling the accusations “patently false.” After a weekend of discussions, Rose mentioned feeling overwhelmed by the support she received, stating, “It may seem like I’m ignoring everything from messages of support to other people’s experiences, but that’s not the case.” She expressed relief that she could now focus on healing, proclaiming her love for her supporters.

Adding to the complexity, reports emerged that Rose had been dismissed from “Batwoman” due to complaints about her workplace behavior. Meanwhile, Perry shared an Instagram Story featuring her song “By the Grace of God,” reinforcing a sense of solidarity.

Rose’s allegations detailed an encounter at Melbourne’s Spice Market nightclub, which she described publicly, calling it “a funny little drunk story.” She recalled a moment of vulnerability, saying she “threw up on her,” and later felt compelled to keep her experiences under wraps, partly out of concern for her U.S. visa situation.

In a stark counterpoint, Perry’s representatives denounced Rose’s claims as “dangerous and reckless lies,” emphasizing that they have consistently denied similar accusations made by Rose in the past. Furthermore, they noted that Rose has a history of making serious allegations against various people.

Interestingly, Rose reflected on the lengthy process of coming forward, expressing gratitude for finding her voice after nearly two decades. She remarked, “I’m so grateful that I took the time to find my voice… it just goes to show how impactful trauma and sexual assault can be.” She highlighted the added difficulty of discussing violence and abuse among women, contrasting it with narratives surrounding male aggressors.

Finally, Rose, who initially was hesitant about legal actions, invited Perry to consider suing her, though she dismissed the likelihood, claiming there were witnesses and photos to corroborate her story. The saga underscores the complexities of speaking out about past trauma, while also raising questions about public perception and accountability.
