Logan Paul expresses frustration over the 5 a.m. call time: ‘My brain hasn’t really kicked in yet’

Logan Paul Promotes WrestleMania 42 on ESPN

This Friday, WWE star Logan Paul made an appearance on ESPN’s “First Take” to hype up WrestleMania 42, drawing a parallel to retired NFL player Marshawn Lynch.

Sporting dark sunglasses, Paul seemed a bit disengaged as he mentioned his frustration with the early 5 a.m. call time, famously stating, “I’m just here to avoid getting fined,” quoting Lynch.

When asked a question by host Shay Cornette, Paul remarked, “I’d love to respond, but it’s tricky because everything’s moving so fast and, well, it’s early. So, maybe I can throw a simpler question your way.”

Cornette then asked, “What are you most looking forward to at WrestleMania this weekend?”

Paul is set to participate in a six-man tag team match during the event, happening this weekend at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, with streaming available on Netflix.

“I’ve got sleep scheduled for tomorrow morning. Sure, I could do it before the game, but not this morning; 5 a.m. is just too early,” Paul explained.

“But I’ll show up because I’m a dedicated employee, honestly the best they have. That’s why I’m here.”

During the segment, ESPN contributor David J. Dennis mentioned that sometimes fans aren’t too fond of Paul, which visibly irritated him.

“What are you saying, man?” Paul replied. “I’m going to walk out now. Honestly, you gave me a reason to leave, and I just might do it.”

It’s likely this behavior is all part of Paul’s WWE persona.

In this upcoming match, Paul will join forces with Austin Theory and IShowSpeed against WWE veterans The Usos and LA Knight.

Paul signed a multi-year contract with WWE back in 2022, making his debut at WrestleMania 38, teaming with The Miz to beat Rey and Dominik Mysterio.

Last year, he faced Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 39 held at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
