Group of teenagers reportedly pursues and assaults a Temple University student in a dormitory.

Authorities in Pennsylvania are seeking assistance from the public to identify a group of teenagers involved in a violent incident where they chased and attacked college students in their dormitories over the weekend.

The event took place early Sunday morning around 2:50 a.m., when a Temple University student was allegedly pursued by a group of juveniles into the lobby of Morgan Hall South, as reported by the Temple University Police Department.

Once inside, these individuals began assaulting students, leading to physical injuries and damage to university property.

Emmanuel Turner, a sophomore at the university, expressed his concerns, saying, “It really puts this threat into perspective, especially when you’re a college student because you know your main priority is education, not safety. But this event brings it a little more to the forefront.”

The student sustained minor injuries but turned down medical treatment at the scene. In an effort to aid the investigation, university police have released images of the suspected attackers.

Surveillance footage captured a group of nine individuals walking along the sidewalk, with some obscured by hoodies or face coverings, though the face of at least one suspect was clear.

Currently, no arrests have been made, and authorities have yet to share detailed information regarding the incident.

Support from the Philadelphia Police Department and the Philadelphia School District is aiding in the search for those responsible. Temple University, located in downtown Philadelphia, caters to around 30,000 students and Morgan Hall, the main residence hall, accommodates about 1,200 of them.

Anyone with information on this case is urged to contact the Philadelphia Police Department at (215)-686-TIPS.
