Navarro Criticizes Jenner Over Passport Comments
During a recent episode of “The View,” co-host Ana Navarro took aim at Caitlyn Jenner after Jenner expressed her frustrations about not being able to change her gender marker on her passport. Navarro didn’t hold back, stating there is “a special place in hell” for individuals like Jenner, who, in her opinion, prioritize their own issues over others.
Navarro’s remarks included, “Caitlyn Jenner? A little girl crying for attention. Let me play my tiny violin for you.” She pointed out that changing gender markers on passports was something that had already been ordered on the first day of President Biden’s term. If Jenner truly thought he was not acting on his promises, then she believed he was simply galvanizing voters.
“I think there’s a special place in hell for those who are self-serving and disregard the effects their actions have on others,” she added.
Jenner had previously mentioned her passport troubles on Tomi Lahren’s podcast, indicating she had reached out to President Trump for assistance but didn’t hear back.
Navarro referenced a quote from transgender activist Janetta Johnson, who remarked, “Jenner is rich and white; she can access whatever she needs.” Navarro suggested that Jenner should be repaying the transgender community instead of just focusing on her own needs, noting their historical mistreatment.
Co-host Alyssa Farrah Griffin chimed in, criticizing Trump’s executive order regarding gender identification as “stupid policy” aimed at public embarrassment. She claimed that the administration never truly aimed to enhance the lives of Americans.
On his first day in office, Trump’s executive order mandated that the federal government recognize only two genders, male and female, strictly based on biological traits. This policy also stipulated that these gender markers must be reflected on official documents, including passports.
Despite these passport challenges, Jenner assured her support for Trump, stating she understood he was preoccupied and that her gender identity wasn’t a priority. “I love him and the work he’s doing,” she commented.
Meanwhile, the State Department has ceased issuing passports marked with “X”—a designation available since 2021—and is not accepting requests to alter gender markers between “M” and “F.”
In February 2025, Hunter Schaefer, a transgender actor known for her role in “Euphoria,” revealed that her new passport was issued with a male gender marker due to the same executive order. Schaefer discussed her experience on social media, emphasizing that her intention was not to provoke drama but to highlight the realities faced by the transgender community.
