Mike Vrabel Addresses Recent Controversy

New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel has finally spoken out after two weeks of silence following the publication of intimate photos featuring him and former NFL reporter Deanna Russini at a luxury Arizona resort.

Both Vrabel and Russini are currently married to others.

During this time, Vrabel avoided cameras and media, especially after the release of photos that stirred significant attention. However, with the 2026 NFL Draft just around the corner, he took a moment on Tuesday to address the situation that has sent ripples through the sports community and led to Russini’s resignation, as reported by The Athletic last week.

“I’ve had some tough discussions with key individuals, including my family, the organization, coaches, and the players. These conversations have been both positive and fruitful,” Vrabel stated during a media session at Gillette Stadium.

“To succeed both on and off the field, making the right choices is crucial. That starts with me, and I really don’t want our actions to distract from the team,” he added.

He expressed regret for not commenting on the matter sooner.

“These have been private discussions that I had for the team, and I believe it’s best to keep them that way. I genuinely care about this team and am eager to coach them,” he shared. “I also intend to approach each day with a sense of humility and dedication. What I can guarantee is that I’ll be fully committed to my family, the organization, our coaches, and our fans. And that’s really what matters moving forward.”

Last month, Vrabel, who previously won a Super Bowl, was caught on video in a hot tub with Russini at the luxury resort in Arizona.

Following the investigation into the photos, Russini resigned from her position last week after unsettling revelations about her relationship with Vrabel came to light.

The NFL has confirmed that there will be no investigation into Vrabel regarding this matter.
