Daylight Robbery at Gucci Store

In a bold daytime heist, four thieves made off with over a dozen luxury handbags from a high-end outlet in New York before heading out of state.

On April 16, three men and a woman, believed to be connected to similar thefts, targeted the Gucci store at Woodbury Common Premium Outlets, stealing around $30,000 worth of merchandise.

The group entered the store and began smashing display cases right near the entrance. They hurriedly grabbed as many bags as they could carry, skillfully removing the cable sensors as they escaped. Witnesses described the scene as chaotic, with store staff looking shocked and some yelling in furious disbelief as the thieves fled.

“Those people are unbelievable!” one shopper was heard exclaiming in a video captured during the incident.

One customer tried to help, reaching for a handbag that had rolled off a display, but staff pulled her back as the robbers scrambled for items on the floor.

The suspects made their getaway in a rented white Jeep but crashed during a short police chase in Newark, New Jersey. Due to heavy traffic, authorities had to halt the chase to prioritize public safety. Reports noted the thieves were driving dangerously, even veering onto sidewalks to evade capture.

As of now, all four suspects are still at large, with law enforcement in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania on high alert. The sole female suspect has multiple outstanding warrants related to nearly a dozen robberies in the tri-state area, although no suspect names have been released yet.
