Anti-Islam Activist Promises to Arrive in the UK by Boat Despite Government Ban

Valentina Gomez Banned from Entering the UK Amid Controversy

Republican candidate Valentina Gomez has been prohibited from entering the UK due to significant backlash from Muslim MPs and advocacy groups. In response, she stated her intention to arrive by boat, similar to many illegal immigrants.

Gomez, originally from Colombia, is currently running for Texas’ 31st House of Representatives. She had plans to attend a rally in London next month organized by Tommy Robinson, a well-known figure in anti-grooming gang activism.

This week, the Home Secretary, Shabana Mahmoud, determined that allowing Gomez into the country was “not in the public interest,” according to reports. This decision followed strong objections from the Muslim community regarding the presence of certain activists at the rally. One of these activists sparked outrage by burning a copy of the Quran, making inflammatory remarks about Islam.

The Islamic Council of Britain had warned that her presence could lead to diminished safety on the streets of the UK.

Shokat Adam, an MP, criticized Gomez for allegedly spreading harmful rhetoric about the Muslim community and using dangerous language that might incite violence. He suggested that acts like burning the Quran are designed to fuel religious tensions and go beyond acceptable freedom of expression.

Adam also noted the inconsistency in how the government treats different forms of hate speech, pointing to actions taken against figures like Kanye West for anti-Semitic comments and suggesting a similar standard should apply to anti-Muslim sentiments.

According to reports, Mahmoud’s decision to ban Gomez was based on the understanding that freedom of expression does not cover behavior that might promote hatred or extremism.

In reaction, Gomez accused Mahmoud of hypocrisy, labeling him with a derogatory remark based on his background, claiming he only chose to act against her because she doesn’t engage in violence or crime.

She also insisted that she plans to reach the UK regardless. If legally prevented from entering, she claimed she would embrace illegal migration routes, similar to others who cross the English Channel and receive support from British authorities.

“Plan A was to fly, but that’s off the table, so we’re moving to Plan B: a boat,” she said. “I’m going to do what those who are called ‘rapist, pedophile Muslims’ are doing. I will take a boat, receive free accommodations, and deliver a speech.” She stated, “If they want to keep me out, they can just stop the boat. Britain belongs to the British.”
