Anheuser-Busch Announces $600 Million Investment in U.S. Manufacturing

On Wednesday, Anheuser-Busch, known for brands like Budweiser and Michelob Ultra, shared plans for a significant investment—$600 million aimed at boosting manufacturing jobs in the U.S.

This initiative is part of their Brewing Futures program, which will see investments in domestic operations over the next two years. The company plans to open 15 new technical training centers, work alongside technical colleges, and create more career pathways for veterans.

Interestingly, Anheuser-Busch noted that around 99 percent of the beer consumed in the country is produced domestically. With this plan, they aim to enhance the skills of more than 90 percent of the U.S. manufacturing workforce over the next five years.

Brendan Whitworth, CEO of Anheuser-Busch, emphasized the importance of this investment, stating:

This $600 million investment reflects our strong commitment to the American manufacturing landscape. By bolstering our manufacturing capabilities, we’re not just creating jobs; we’re building sustainable career opportunities for those vital to our success.

We’re excited to nurture the next generation of manufacturing leaders through our new technical training centers and to provide more opportunities for veterans in the workforce.

In a statement, Jay Timmons, President and CEO of the National Association of Manufacturers, pointed out:

Anheuser-Busch’s expanded investment represents a dedication to American workers and the future of our manufacturing sector. Their collaboration with manufacturing associations is paving the way for a fresh wave of opportunities for our talented workforce.

Through partnerships with local training centers and trade schools, they are reshaping careers and helping our current and future manufacturing workforce gain essential skills for impactful careers, economic growth, and healthy communities.

White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt referred to this major investment as part of what’s being called the “Trump effect.”

Another White House Press Secretary, Liz Houston, commented:

This exemplifies the Trump effect. Because of President Trump’s dedication to revitalizing American industry, businesses are investing in the U.S., expanding manufacturing, and generating quality jobs—ushering in a new wave of prosperity for Americans.

The Rapid Response Team from Trump’s White House noted that this effort focuses on “American manufacturing, American investment, and American jobs.”
