LeAnn Rimes Reflects on Her Anniversary Amid Family Challenges
LeAnn Rimes marked her 15th wedding anniversary by sharing a photo of herself in a small red bikini. However, the celebration came with a backdrop of personal strife, as she described the occasion as a “very tense and heartbreaking event” relating to her family.
On Thursday, Rimes took to Instagram to reveal some of the struggles her family has been facing. “We had to step away from work for three days under extremely stressful and heartbreaking circumstances,” she mentioned in her post. Despite the challenges at home, the couple managed to find moments of joy in their 15 years together.
“This anniversary was certainly unusual, filled with tears and worry, but there were also times of laughter and a profound sense of gratitude for our love. Every day, we walk hand in hand through this roller coaster called life, and I am so thankful we do it together,” she wrote.
Rimes emphasized the growth and resilience that has characterized their relationship. “We know how to weather the storms together, support one another, and fix things that need fixing. I’m incredibly proud of everything we’ve built together. Fifteen years is just the beginning,” she expressed.
Alongside her heartfelt message, Rimes posted a beach photo with Eddie Cibrian, thanking the director of the Romance at Las Ventanas al Paraíso for making their anniversary memorable.
In her candid photos, she could be seen relaxing in a red bikini while sipping from a coconut. “Until next time, Cabo…” she captioned one image.
Rimes and Cibrian first crossed paths in 2008 while working on the TV movie Northern Lights. Their relationship became controversial as both were navigating separate marriages at that time, leading to public divorces before they wed in 2011.
Recently, Rimes discussed their evolution over the years. “We’ve been through so much. Now our sons, who are 22 and 18, are grown, and we’re enjoying a quieter life together while helping to raise them,” she said. “It’s remarkable that after all this time, we have developed into a partnership where we really enjoy each other, share many laughs, and simply—he’s just a good guy.”
Reflecting on their journey, Rimes added, “It seems crazy to think that fifteen years have passed, but so far, it’s been really good.”
