Incident at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner

In a startling revelation, gunman Cole Allen shared an anti-Trump manifesto with his family shortly before a shooting incident at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. He referred to himself as a “friendly federal assassin,” expressing intentions to target officials from the Trump administration.

In the document, which a relative provided to law enforcement, Allen stated, “You turn the other cheek when you’re oppressed.” He clarified that his experiences didn’t compare to those of extreme victims, emphasizing his views on complicity in oppression. He wrote, “Turning the other cheek when *others* are oppressed is not Christian behavior.” This reflection seemed aimed at highlighting injustices he perceives in society.

Allen identified his targets as government officials, stating that they would be prioritized based on their rank. He mentioned, “I will no longer allow pedophiles, rapists, and traitors to carry out their crimes,” seemingly alluding to the president.

He detailed plans to minimize collateral damage by using buckshot, indicating that if necessary, he might harm many attendees to reach his intended targets. He expressed hopes this wouldn’t be necessary, yet there was a grim acceptance of the reality he envisioned. In his critique of security measures, Allen noted what he considered an “insane” lack of protection at the Washington Hilton, suggesting that operatives could have entered unnoticed with even heavier weaponry.

Upon entering the venue, he felt a sense of arrogance prevailing, commenting, “I walk in with multiple weapons and no one considers me a potential threat.” He criticized the focus of security on external issues rather than anticipating threats from individuals who checked in earlier.

Continued Concerns

He remarked on how easily a foreign agent could have carried dangerous weapons into the hotel without anyone noticing, calling the situation “actually insane.” His brother alerted authorities, sharing the manifesto, while Allen’s sister was interviewed by the Secret Service, revealing his history of politically charged statements and a desire to enact change.

Authorities reported that Allen had acquired two handguns and a shotgun, intending to keep them at his parents’ residence. It appears he was an active participant in firearm training. Allen is linked to a group called “The Wide Awakes” and reportedly took part in protests in California while working as a teacher.

This is a developing story. More updates will follow.
