Indiana Carroll Joins NFL Cheerleading Squad
Indiana Carroll, daughter of the famous National Rugby League player Mark Carroll, has realized her lifelong ambition by being selected for the Las Vegas Raiderettes cheer team for the 2026-27 season.
Sharing her exciting news on Instagram, she expressed her joy with a picture of the Raiderettes and a simple caption: “Honey, I’m home.” This announcement follows her previous attempt to join the renowned Dallas Cowboys cheer squad last year, which didn’t pan out.
Her father, Mark Carroll, proudly celebrated her achievement in a heartfelt Instagram post. “I couldn’t be more proud to share this about my beautiful daughter, Indiana. Her childhood dream was to cheer for an NFL team, and now it’s come true with the Raiders,” he wrote.
Reflecting on Indiana’s journey, he noted the challenges she faced. “Looking back, I see how much she has had to overcome. As a young girl, endometriosis was a terrifying obstacle, but now she’s set to grace the big stage in the U.S. with the NFL, performing in front of millions.” His excitement was palpable as he added, “My girl Indiana is about to blow up, Australian style.”
There was also a shout-out to Mark’s wife, Monique, for her unwavering support. “What a mother she is; I’m so proud of her,” he said, recognizing the crucial role she has played in Indiana’s life.
Rochelle Salatino, a fellow dancer from the Manly Seavers, congratulated Indiana, stating, “She did it. Nobody deserves this more than you. Live out your longest, wildest dreams.”
With her selection, Indiana becomes the fourth Australian to join an NFL cheerleading team. Last year, Faith Ward made history as the first Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader, followed by Ginelle Esther and Angela Nicotera, who made the leap from Australia to the U.S. to pursue their cheerleading dreams.
The NFL preseason kicks off on August 6th, with the regular season starting on September 9th. The full schedule will be revealed in mid-May.
