Knicks Fans Prepare for Philadelphia Takeover

This weekend, despite the attempts by the Brotherhood to prevent it, many New Yorkers are gearing up to travel to Philadelphia for the NBA playoff matchup between the Knicks and the 76ers.

In a move to limit ticket availability, the Xfinity Mobile Arena has restricted direct sales to individuals with addresses in the Philadelphia area. Plus, Sixers supporters are promising to keep tickets from getting into the hands of Knicks fans. Still, some New Yorkers are determined to make the trip.

An X fandom account, @BigKnickEnergy_, shared that round-trip bus tickets from Madison Square Garden to the arena will cost $75 as the Eastern Conference semifinals move to Philadelphia this Friday and Sunday.

The buses will leave MSG at 4 PM on Friday, returning at 10:30 PM, and then at 12:30 PM on Sunday with a return at 7 PM.

After a solid home victory of 137-98 against the Sixers, the Knicks now have a 1-0 lead in the playoff series. The next game at Madison Square Garden is set for Wednesday.

Some New Yorkers expressed that policies like Rambo should be reconsidered since they seem to be counterproductive.

“Businesses in downtown Philly definitely want New York fans to come,” said Keith Game, 54, from Morristown. “If you want to sell cheese steaks, you need New York fans spending their money.”

He added, “But, let’s be honest, it’s a second city. They can be a bit too sensitive!”

Despite the obstacles, some fans hold out hope that these restrictions won’t last.

“People will figure it out,” said Anil Melwani, who attends games in both New York and Florida. He noted that friends and family in Philadelphia would still gather, asserting that even with the perceived “unfair” treatment of Knicks fans, New York supporters will turn up in numbers.

“You know how tough New Yorkers are,” he concluded.
