Spencer Pratt Responds to Karen Bass in Heartfelt Ad with His Mother: 'The Palisades Won't Return for a Long Time'

Spencer Pratt Criticizes Karen Bass in Emotional Ad

Los Angeles mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt has taken a strong stance against Karen Bass in a recent advertisement. He accused her of “exploiting” the grief of those affected by the Palisades fire for her campaign purposes.

The new ad features Pratt, known for his role on the reality show The Hills, alongside his wife Heidi Montag and his mother Janet Pratt, who also lost her home in the blaze. As they walk through the charred remains of their community, the emotional weight is palpable. At one point, Janet becomes visibly upset, reflecting on the long journey ahead for Pacific Palisades to recover.

“I feel like all I can do is cry,” Janet shares with her son in the video, expressing a deep sense of loss and wishing she had made different housing decisions, feeling that the Palisades have become quite disheartening.

In a bid to comfort her, Pratt reassures, “It’s easier to sell a house built on a lot than just the lot.” He adds, “You have a better chance of buying a brand new house with no one living in it than that dirty property,” as Janet’s emotions swell.

Janet responds, “The Palisades won’t be back for a while. It’s very depressing. I have to pull myself together.”

During a recent appearance on MSNOW with Katie Huang, Bass accused Pratt of taking advantage of the victims’ grief, despite his own experience with loss due to the fire that destroyed his home, labeling his actions as “reprehensible.” This remark sparked considerable backlash online.

“Honestly, I had never even heard of Spencer Pratt before this,” Bass remarked, expressing her concern that he seems to be benefiting from the tragedy of the Palisades residents. She implied that he is more focused on regaining fame than the real issues at hand.

Bass attributed the wildfires to “climate change” and even suggested that Pratt might benefit from a “basic civics course,” implying he lacks understanding about governmental processes.

“For me, these fires were the worst natural disaster our city has experienced. We need to adapt to a different weather experience due to climate change,” she stated.

In response to Bass’s statements during a Fox News segment, Pratt called her comments “satanic.” He expressed frustration by saying, “Karen Bass burned down my house, burned down my parents’ house, and burned alive my actual neighbors across the street from my childhood home.” He emphasized that the real sadness lies with him and his community, reinforcing that his actions stemmed from a place of advocacy for those affected.

Pratt concluded his thoughts by describing the situation as “the most insane, psychotic, diabolical story I’ve heard in a while.”
