Blaze TV host Sarah Gonzalez came across a flyer for a Muslim-organized event at a water park in Texas. She quickly shared it, prompting the event’s organizers to modify its language to sound more inclusive.
However, Gonzalez is determined to keep spotlighting the original details, stating that “screenshots remain forever.”
“If you want to know how extensive the Islamic influence in Texas has become, well, I didn’t expect this. Now they’re even taking control of our water parks,” she remarked, displaying the flyer.
The event features a “private prayer area” and a “modest dress code,” promoting itself as “Muslims only” and thus excluding the general public.
“I believe there’s a significant amount of racism in Texas. And since the water park is owned by the city of Grand Prairie, taxpayers are funding it,” Gonzalez expressed, recalling that this wasn’t the first time public funds have supported such an event.
“This marks the third annual ‘Muslims Only’ Epic Water Park event,” she said while referencing introductions from prior events.
One attendee shared how enjoyable it was for her family, saying the event provided a respectful environment without compromising modesty. Another mentioned the organized nature and delicious food at the event.
The event organizers’ website included images of what to wear, showcasing photos of burkinis—a full-body swimsuit designed for Muslim women.
“Honestly, it seems risky to wear something that covers your head while in the water,” Gonzalez commented. “That just doesn’t seem safe.”
