Celebrities criticize Draymond Green at Kevin Hart's roast

Draymond Green Takes Center Stage at Kevin Hart Roast

Sunday night’s “Kevin Hart Roast” turned into quite the spectacle, notably featuring Draymond Green. The Warriors player, fresh off a playoff exit against the Suns, attended a Netflix event at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. While the roast was mainly focused on Hart, Green ended up being the target of some pointed humor.

Tom Brady wasted no time, launching a jab at Green right after roasting Hart. “Draymond Green is here,” Brady shouted to the audience. “Yeah, he’s here for now. He’ll probably get kicked out in the next ten minutes. We aren’t blaming Steve Kerr, right?” Green laughed it off, but the teasing didn’t stop there.

Shortly after, Shane Gillis, the evening’s host, chimed in, saying, “Draymond Green is here. Let’s hear it for him. Oh, he’s sick. Boo.” He even quipped about Green’s name, suggesting he could have only ended up as a pro athlete, a documentary film “pimp,” or possibly a cartoon duck.

Later on, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Pete Davidson joined in on the fun, with Johnson joking about Green needing to retire and Davidson ribbing him about the Warriors’ loss.

Jeff Ross, perhaps delivering the harshest critique, brought attention to Green’s relationship with Stephen Curry. “Steph Curry wasn’t here tonight, but he got Draymond Green here,” he remarked affectionately. “I’m not going to make fun of you for being violent. You’ve been ejected more times than Kevin Hart has films on DVD.”

Yet, Green did manage to fire back, particularly with a joke aimed at Chelsea Handler that quickly gained traction online. “I’ve never beaten Chelsea Handler and I never will,” he said. “I’m Draymond Green. I don’t hit threes.”

Overall, it’s been a busy month for Green. He faced criticism recently for his on-air showdown with Charles Barkley. With the Warriors not kicking off their next season for several months, who knows what headlines Green might make next.
