HHS Introduces Support Website for New and Expecting Mothers

New Resource Launched for Mothers

On Mother’s Day, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) introduced a new website aimed at offering support and resources to both new and expectant mothers.

“This Mother’s Day, the Trump Administration is reinforcing its dedication to American families by equipping mothers and fathers with vital resources to create healthy, fulfilling lives,” stated Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Secretary of Health.

The site, referred to as Mama’s Gob, delivers essential tools to help parents ensure healthy pregnancies, strengthen families, and foster brighter futures for their children. “This is how we make America healthy again,” he emphasized.

HHS described Moms.gov as a unique resource with a user-friendly layout offering a variety of information, including:

  • Support services and health centers, including pregnancy centers and Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs)
  • A nutrition guide for mothers based on American Dietary Guidelines
  • Resources for women and parents
  • Health assessments before pregnancy
  • Breastfeeding support
  • Mental health resources
  • Adoption information

Dr. Dorothy Fink, assistant secretary for women’s health, remarked that maternal and women’s health are closely intertwined. She highlighted that a perinatal improvement initiative has significantly decreased maternal mortality rates. “We are dedicated to promoting women’s health throughout motherhood and at every life stage,” she noted.

Citizens’ Right to Life commended the administration for acknowledging the need for genuine support for mothers and families.

Carol Tobias, a representative for National Rights, pointed out that many women facing unplanned pregnancies are often led to believe that abortion is their sole option. She stated that Moms.gov conveys a different message—that mothers, babies, and families matter, and compassionate resources are available.

“Women deserve access to comprehensive information and real support from pregnancy through motherhood,” Tobias added. She views Moms.gov as a significant step toward nurturing a culture that values both mothers and children, connecting families with health-promoting resources.

“Every child should be welcomed into the world, and every mother requires support and encouragement,” she stated. “National Right to Life values this initiative, which offers practical support to families at each stage of pregnancy and parenting.”
