Miles Bridges Requests Psychiatric Evaluation for Ex-Girlfriend

Miles Bridges is looking to have a judge order his ex-girlfriend, Michelle Johnson, to undergo a psychiatric evaluation. He claims that she has developed an unhealthy obsession with his current girlfriend.

According to TMZ, Bridges, who has faced multiple domestic violence charges and entered a no contest plea in 2022 for injuring the parent of his child, detailed in court documents that Johnson has shown a “relentless obsession” with his new partner and has been behaving erratically for months.

He also expressed concerns that Johnson isn’t prioritizing her four children’s needs over her personal grievances.

In the complaint, Bridges noted that Johnson has initiated lengthy emotional communications during the late-night and early morning hours. The court filings presented by him highlighted messages that allegedly indicate an “intense and persistent obsession” with his new girlfriend, leading Bridges to request a “comprehensive psychological evaluation.”

The filings also included allegations that Bridges threatened to disclose intimate details about Johnson, which she has denied.

This legal action follows a recent development where a Mecklenburg County judge issued a temporary restraining order against Bridges. This decision came after it was claimed Johnson tampered with the tires on his car while he was attending a Hornets game.

Bridges’ attorney filed an emergency motion on April 8, detailing the incident.

Interestingly, someone saw Johnson in the parking lot during the game, called her name, and this seemingly caused her to flee from a security guard, as reported by The Charlotte Observer.

At this time, Bridges is also pursuing sole custody of their children. The situation is quite complicated; there have been serious allegations against him too, including claims from Johnson involving choking and other forms of physical harm. He faced charges for injury to the parent of a child and child abuse, but ultimately pleaded no contest to just one felony count.

Additionally, another domestic violence charge against Bridges in a separate incident was dropped by prosecutors, who stated it “would not be successful in court.” It’s all a bit tangled, really.
