Protests Erupt Outside Hotel Believed to Be Hosting FBI Director Kash Patel

Over the weekend, a group of protesters gathered outside a hotel in Portland, Oregon, where FBI Director Kash Patel was thought to be staying. The occasion was a friend’s funeral, which Patel attended.

Footage shared on social media captured a loud crowd outside the Sentinel Hotel on Saturday evening. The demonstrators expressed their outrage over what they termed the “weaponization” of the FBI during Donald Trump’s presidency, as well as Patel’s management of documents related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Details surrounding Patel’s specific hotel accommodations remain unclear, but sources confirmed that he and his girlfriend, Alexis Wilkins, were in town for the memorial service. Patel reportedly helped carry the casket during the service, which took place on Saturday, according to an obituary.

Some protesters allegedly used publicly accessible flight data to track Patel’s travel arrangements and even monitored a Justice Department aircraft associated with him. This allowed them to narrow down the locations where Patel might be staying, leading them to the Sentinel Hotel.

One protester reported, “It’s not 100% confirmed, but it’s very likely he was at Sentinel. We were there to protest how President Trump and President Patel’s FBI are allegedly suppressing free speech and press freedom.”

Attempts to reach the Department of Justice, the Sentinel Hotel, the Portland Police Bureau, and the FBI for comments were made but have yet to receive responses.
